Wow! This year continues to fly by quickly. I can't believe it is almost summer.

I'm pleased to announce the Joubert Syndrome Foundation & Related Cerebellar Disorders Board for 2005. The Board voted to expanded from 7 to 9 members. The Officers and Board members are as follows:

We were sorry to see Bonnie Tolles leave our Board. Thankfully, however, Bonnie continues to  play an active role for our Foundation, serving on our Bio-Bank committee. A HUGE congratulations to Bonnie and her family?Bonnie is expecting a baby this summer!
We welcome 3 new additions to our Board: Rich Duquette, Nadine Phillips, and Amanda Tulumalo. We are very excited about their enthusiasm and dedication to the Foundation.

As many of you know by now... The 2006 conference information is on our web site. If you have not seen it posted on the website, the information is included in this issue of The Rainbow (see pages 3 & 11)). Our conference will be in Irving, Texas July 6 - 10, 2006. Irving is located right outside Dallas and Fort Worth.

Our conferences continue to get better and better! As you read through the information, keep in mind that we are still in the planning stages so the schedule is tentative. Also, I will have the hotel information soon so you can start making your travel arrangements. It is NEVER too early to start planning!

Some things you can start doing now include: getting donations for our closing gala event's silent auction getting companies to sponsor portions of the conference (to help keep our registration fees down); and, hosting your own fundraising event to cover your costs. The Foundation is also hopeful to provide small grants to help families attend the conference.

Grandparents, aunts and uncles, and friends are welcome to come. The more the merrier! If anyone is interested in volunteering their time to help out with this conference, please let us know. This is always appreciated as it takes a lot of hands to make this event a huge success.
Please watch out for conference updates to be posted on our website, and printed in subsequent newsletters. Updates will be provided as more plans are finalized.

Bye for now and enjoy the Spring time weather!!

Your friend and president,
Cheryl Duquette
